five

So I have been without a laptop for a bit now. My boyfriend had a little accident with some coffee and it won't turn on. :(
I'm hoping there is a way to recover some files. I try to put my photos on a USB stick but most of my summer photos haven't made it on yet. Luckily I still have my Nova Scotia photos on my camera! I would be very sad if I lost those ones.
Anywho, I'm doing this post from my iPhone, hoping to use some photos from it but I'm having a bit of trouble. No luck with electronics lately.

yesterday was the first day of fall. it was such a beautiful day, so i took advantage of it to take a little walk with my camera. i love when all the leaves begin to change colours.

sometimes i forget i have my shutter speed super low when shooting handheld. most of the time the photos turn out super blurry and crappy, but the odd time i get a really cool effect and end up with unique shots.

the last photo is my favourite. we were in an old stone building, climbing up the spiral staircase. having such a low shutter speed made dylan all blurry and ghost-like, which was very fitting for where we were.

one

ok, so i have tried to start many blogs over the years but never stick with them. why would i want to start another one? for fun. i always start one with a million ideas of what i want to post and do, but then i get overwhelmed and stop.

this blog will be very simple. it will just be my photography. i am not a professional photographer at all. i have only taken one introductory course to teach me the basics. this blog will be something for me to keep me motivated to continue taking photos and hopefully even encourage me to push myself to try new things. i'm pretty much a wuss when it comes to trying anything really, but with photography is something i really enjoy so this will help me get out there and push myself. :)

i figured being a photography blog, i should post a photo before ending this post. this was taken at my campsite this july at the winnipeg folk festival. enjoy.
